WordPress Developer
2014DrinkBai.com
PSD designs from Bai Brands' in-house team translated into a pixel-faithful custom WordPress theme that is still the antioxidant beverage company's live site today.
→ A theme built in 2014 that still powers drinkbai.com, carrying a decade of brand growth on the same build.
The problem
Bai Brands, the antioxidant beverage company, was one of my earliest clients. Their in-house team had designed the site they wanted, down to the pixel, and delivered it as PSDs. What they needed was a developer who could translate that design into a living WordPress site without losing anything in translation: faithful to the comps a consumer brand’s design team will actually scrutinize, responsive across devices, and manageable by their own people afterwards.
That kind of build looks straightforward and often isn’t. The design is the brand, so “close enough” isn’t, and the theme has to hold up as the marketing team changes content, adds products, and evolves campaigns long after the developer moves on.
The approach
I converted the PSDs into a custom WordPress theme, built on Bootstrap for its responsive grid: hand-built templates matching the comps, structured so the pieces the brand team would touch (products, content, imagery) were editable in WordPress rather than baked into code.
The outcome
The site I built is still live at drinkbai.com today. That’s the outcome I’m proudest of on this one: a theme built in 2014 has carried the brand’s site for over a decade, through years of growth that took Bai from an up-and-comer to a national beverage name, without needing to be replaced.
